The Lady Lions volleyball team beat Choctaw High School 3-1 on Tuesday, Oct.  10.

“This game was something that we’ve really been looking forward to,” junior Kate Powell said. “We lost to them my freshman and sophomore year, so it feels really good to have our hard work pay off.”

The girls are currently first in the district, so they will go head-to-head on Thursday, Oct. 19, against the winner of the Lincoln vs. Chiles game.

This year, Leon will be hosting the district championship game, so the players are trying to get as many people to come out and support as they can.
