The girls soccer team will take on Florida High Jan. 9, at Leon for Senior Night.

Junior varsity will play at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.

The Lady Lions beat Pace High School, 4-0, on Jan 6.

The team currently has a 9-5-1 record and is ranked 59 in the state.

The girls team is acknowledging seniors Kate Carter (forward), Presley Reeves (forward) , Sophie Gray (forward) Madison Reeves (defense, midfield) , Jordan Brown (forward, midfield) and Maddie Powell (forward, midfield) for their accomplishments in the years played for the Lions.

All six seniors have played on the varsity team since freshmen year and won three district championships together.

“I’m excited to play Florida High tonight, especially since it’s senior night.” Maddie Powell said.

“I remember my freshmen year making posters for the seniors and it’s crazy to think that this night is here for me.”

The girls who are not being acknowledged will hold balloons across the field in a line to allow the seniors to walk with their family and meet the coaches for pictures.
