Leon’s Dance Marathon club members are selling bake goods today, Nov. 15, in order to raise money for the Children Miracle Network. The money made from the bake sale will start an initial fund for the club’s ongoing fundraiser that will continue up until the marathon. Some goods being sold around school are cupcakes, brownies, and cookies.

“We’re participating in the bake sale today to raise some funds for Dance Marathon and tomorrow we will be having registration at lunch,” senior Caroline Kirk said.

Dance Marathon is a movement benefitting Children’s Miracle Network, a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for children with cancer and other sicknesses. It is a student-led organization that provides year-round support to youth cancer patients and their families. Leon’s Dance Marathon will be held in February.

Leon Dance Marathon will also be holding a share night tonight at Barberitos. For every Leon student that comes in, Barberitos will donate some of the profit to our Dance Marathon committee.
