Of 10 students who auditioned, six Leon guitar students were accepted to the guitar All State program. Seniors John Ahern, Andrew Bryant, Will Giglio, Ben Holt and Fred Springer, and junior Joaquin Erickson all passed the audition process.

In the past, the school assemblies honoring Black History Month at Leon have had themes ranging from The Oscars to Showtime at the Apollo.
