High Life wins design contest

25 February 2009 6 Comments

The High Life has recently been acknowledged for its outstanding design. The student-run paper of Leon High School, Tallahassee, FL, received a $1,000 grant from JS Printing on account of placing 1st in the Fall 2008 Design Contest.

JS Printing accepted entries from schools across the nation, so long as the submitted paper was published through them. The winning issue of the High Life was printed in late November, and submitted for the contest in mid-December. It featured the “Life at Leon” center spread, and coverage of the “Can the Lion” food drive.

While the staff has yet to decide what the money will be specifically used for, Leon High has already congratulated the students by placing a message in the school’s marquee.
